Paywall Update

Hi everyone,

This is Grace! Just a quick note on how the site will work going forward.

You may have noticed that in the year since we started, we have published exactly one item of pay-walled writing. As we've been building TIER, we've been working to keep it sustainable, which has meant focusing on individual issues rather than anything extraneous. Each issue has taken longer than we've wanted them to. We want to work on building a schedule that help us release more consistently.

With that in mind, we're dropping any paywalled content for the foreseeable future. I've set it so everyone can now read the one essay we released under the paywall. As soon as we are able to get issues out more regularly, we'll start thinking about ways to thank you for your support. But honestly, our focus will always be on the stuff we can share with everyone. We want to write on the margins, for the margins. That ideal is incompatible with locking too much of what we make behind a price tag.

Our next issue will be a theme issue! We're hoping to do more of these going forward and we have some exciting stuff lined up for them.
